7. The Jackal (Far Cry 2)

Far Cry 2 features the sunny African savannah instead of the tropical islands of Far Cry, but is not a direct sequel to the original PC game. It also has some annoying survival gameplay and repetition, meaning it’s not such a great sequel. The game’s goal was to hunt down a notorious arms dealer known as The Jackal.

The man at first appears to be another African warlord who’s managed to avoid getting caught by the UN for selling his guns to the game’s factions, but there is more to him than meets the eye though… Actually, Ubisoft later revealed that the Jackal is indeed Far Cry 1’s protagonist Jack Carver, who’s selling weapons to the game’s factions (the APR and UFLL), so this is a case of hero turned villain, then…
