6. Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves

The Fatal Fury series of fighting games debuted in the 90’s, but players have been waiting really long for another entry in the series. So clearly expectations are high for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, the first Fatal Fury game in more than 25 years. Boasting a new, unique art style, the series will once again challenge reigning champions Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat – and do so with a bit of help from the former, as crossover characters Ken and Chun Li will be joining City of the Wolves’ 22-strong roster.

Also there’s crossover character Cristiano Ronaldo, as the sports star will be kicking his way into South Town (the game’s setting) this spring. His flashy combat moves are showcased in the trailer below, and these will be easier to perform in game thanks to its “smart style” control scheme, although veterans can opt for more traditional arcade style controls that reward technical skill in this upcoming Fatal Fury entry.

Release date: April 24, 2025. Available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC and PS4.
