When it comes to first-person action, it’s hard to match Ubisoft’s Far Cry series. These games are set in exotic places, but their villains, hell-bent on ruining the hero’s day, often stand head and shoulders above everything else. So without further ado, here follows a list of the top villains in the Far Cry games.
1. Vaas Montenegro (Far Cry 3)
Far Cry 3’s protagonist Jason Brody and his friends couldn’t have picked a worst spot for a vacation. This is because the game’s setting, the Rook Islands (where they go skydiving, of all things) are home to a bunch of pirates led by Vaas Montenegro.
Vaas surely is one of the most memorable game villains of all time, and his “meaning of insanity” speech at some point in the game (see the video below) sure is a highlight. Sadly, he disappears a bit too early in the game for our liking, but does steal every scene he’s in, and is the perfect antagonist for the perfect action game.
