7. Dead Space

Dead Space was one of the top survival-horror games of the last generation, a game that took a top or two from the Resident Evil series, but which offered its own brand of horror in a sci-fi setting. In the game players took control of engineer Isaac, who ends up stranded on a mining ship in deep space and is desperately trying to contact the outside world in order to escape the ill-fated mining vessel Ishimura.

And Dead Space is certainly a superbly atmospheric game, with plenty of moments that will remind players of the Alien movies, plus it features some of the most violent and gory third-person action seen in a video game to date as Isaac fights hordes of terrifying monsters known as “necromorphs” in his attempt to escape the giant mining spaceship Ishimura. And although this is not a game for the squeamish (or those who are easily scared), it is certainly great to be able to play this horror classic game on the Xbox One again.
