10. Star Wars: Squadrons

This game answered the prayers of those who were looking for a pure Star Wars space combat game. And while it didn’t reach the heights of the old X-Wing or Tie Fighter games, game critics rated it highly. There’s a single player campaign in which you pick the Rebel or Empire side, engaging in dogfights against other spaceships, as well as attempt to take on capital ships like imperial Star Destroyers in certain missions. You get to pilot the X-Wing, Tie Fighter and others here of course.

The game’s multiplayer only has two modes though, a 5 v 5 dogfight mode and another in which a team must try to take out the other’s capital ship, but there’s a variety of maps to serve as a backdrop to the action here, plus a VR mode too.
