13. Star Wars: Dark Forces Remaster

The original Dark Forces game was the first Star Wars game to introduce legendary character Kyle Katarn, a defector who joins the Rebel Alliance as a mercenary in order to spy on the Empire and gain information on a secret military project involving a new kind of stormtrooper. Dark Forces is a first-person shooter at heart, inspired by the original Doom games, but featuring Star Wars weapons like blasters and the infamous thermal detonator…
Despite the visual upgrade, this remaster of a thirty-year-old game looks dated, while the gameplay is still as school as can be. It’s still fun, especially for those who played the original game back in 1995, with a nice marriage of Star Wars narrative and shooting gameplay thankfully now available on modern consoles and PC.
