14. Star Wars Episode I: Racer

This game offers a racing experience set in the Star Wars universe, recreating one of the best bits of George Lucas’ much maligned The Phantom Menace movie: the pod racing sequence. And this Star Wars game does nail the sense of speed, making you believe you’re travelling at insane speeds through one of several tracks featured in the game (each located in a different world).

However, and despite the game getting a Nintendo Switch and PlayStation version back in 2020, it does look pretty dated. Also, many will find winning the races pretty easy even if navigating the tracks themselves can be quite challenging. But the game does let you “level up” you pod with a variety of upgrades in what is a pretty good Star Wars racing game no doubt.
