16. Star Wars: The Old Republic

This MMORPG set in the Star Wars universe has been around for a very long time, originally releasing in 2011. It has remained popular despite the fact that it has been a PC only game since its inception (there’s also a Mac version though). Also it’s not the most accessible Star Wars game out there, as it doesn’t even have controller support…

The breadth and depth of content of this multiplayer game is impressive, though, with eight expansions having been released to date, the latest featuring the water world of Manaan and the evil Sith Darth Malgus. The Old Republic (thousands of years before the original Star Wars trilogy) is a rarely seen setting and worth exploring for those players willing to take the plunge and play this (free to play) Star Wars game.
