The top 20 Star Wars games made to date

8. Star Wars Battlefront II

This sequel to the best-selling Star Wars Battlefront delivered more of the same multiplayer action, adding a single player campaign. This is more than decent, and features a female protagonist who’s loyal to the Empire. There are first-person sections in which you get to gun down Rebel soldiers, but the campaign also puts you in control of other characters like Kylo Ren, switching to third-person perspective.

The multiplayer is the real meat of the game though (and still active to date) with Galactic Assault being the main mode here. This features multiple stages and huge maps in which one side defends a point and the other tries to take control of it. Also “heroes vs villains” pits two teams featuring classic Star Wars characters against the other, and is hectic and fun.
