After the disappointing Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness, game creators Crystal Dynamics took over from Core Design and delivered the series’ reboot Tomb Raider: Legend. Also the first Tomb Raider game to be released for the Xbox 360 and PS3, Legend featured a better story than earlier entries involving the legend of King Arthur, and a globe-trotting adventure spanning locations all over the world.

The game offered a good mix of platforming, puzzling and shooting, with the latter being the weak link. Also, players had an easier time solving the game’s environmental puzzles this time around thanks to onscreen hints, plus the game was also a bit on the short side compared to earlier Tomb Raider instalments, but still offered a good slice of action and adventure gameplay all the same.
