17. Pokémon Legends: A-Z

This upcoming Pokémon game follows in the footsteps of Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet, which sold 25 million copies worldwide. It’s another ninth generation Pokémon for the Nintendo Switch (and also the second Pokémon Legends game), so obviously expectations are sky high for The Pokémon Company to deliver another stellar entry in the series.

The announcement trailer below does look the part, showcasing the game’s setting – Lumiose City. This is based on Paris, and where according to the trailer an “urban redevelopment plan” is taking place, supposedly allowing “coexistence between people and Pokémon”, which sounds intriguing enough… This game also brings back the “Mega Evolution” gameplay mechanic. Pokémon will have “Mega Evolved” forms which increase their abilities in battles, likely bringing a smile to Nintendo Switch owners worldwide in 2025.
