The Anno games have successfully combined city building with real time strategy for a while now. Fans had been requesting an Anno game set in ancient Rome for some time too, with Ubisoft answering their prayers this year with the announcement of Anno 117: Pax Romana. You play a governor in the game (actually “Governors Wanted” is the title of the cool live action teaser below), and can choose between two starting provinces for the first time in the series.
And although city building and trade are the focus here you can also choose the path of rebellion while playing as a governor in the game, or remain loyal to the empire… Either way, strategy fans will surely be looking forward to this new Anno game in 2025 no doubt.
