5. Monster Hunter Wilds

Capcom has released numerous Monster Hunter games ever since the first game hit shelves in 2004. That PS2 game started a revolution, and players have been hunting monsters in the series’ fantasy world ever since. Monster Hunter: World in particular was a monster hit back in 2018, and the series as a whole has sold more than 100 million copies to date.

So expectations are sky high for the upcoming Monster Hunter Wilds as you can imagine, even if a controversy has erupted over the game not arriving on Nintendo Switch at launch. Capcom said it needed the horsepower of modern consoles to deliver the best possible experience (as seen in the trailer below) so instead the game will launch on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC in early 2025.
