Ranking the Sonic games from worst to best

2. Sonic Colors

With its wisp powers, awesome levels and colourful art, Sonic Colors is one game you won’t soon forget about.

In Sonic Colors the blue hedgehog has to deal once again with his arch-enemy Dr Eggman, who sets another evil plan in motion involving an interstellar amusement park… But no matter how cliché the story and cheesy the cutscene dialog is, Sonic Colors is one of the high points of the Sonic franchise thanks to its superb platform gameplay. Plus, the breakneck speed the Sonic series is renowned for was not missing here either.

This also had plenty of well-designed, colourful levels. These were not only great-looking, but huge in size as well. Getting through the levels here would allow you to free wisps, and receive special powers depending on their colour. For instance, white wisps would allow Sonic to move even faster, and enjoy the game at mind-blowing speed… So, despite a few cheap deaths and frustratingly difficult bits near the end, this clearly is one of the best games to ever come out for the old Wii console, and one of the best Sonic games.

Came out on: Wii, Nintendo DS.
