11. Persona 5 Royal

Some consider Persona 5 to be the best RPG to ever come out of Japan, and this improved edition of the 2017 hit is even better. A group of high school students are out to change the world by making certain people have a “change of heart”, such as a teacher who harasses his students, a painter who steals others’ work or a corrupt company CEO…

Playing the game, you get to attend classes by day and bond with your student teammates, while you get to enter an alternate fantasy world and fight through dungeons assuming the role of “Phantom Thieves” during nights.  These dungeons represent the twisted minds of your enemies, and you can recruit demons known as Personas to fight for you in them. There are also some loveable characters here like a cat named Morgana (who insists he actually isn’t one) and Kasumi Yoshizawa, who attends the same Tokyo academy as the game’s protagonist, Joker. So this is an RPG not to be missed, then.
