4. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Players got to return to the fantasy land of Temeria with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, a sequel to the highly regarded The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings. And walking in the witcher Geralt’s boots once more (or riding on his esteemed horse Roach) was a great experience here. The switch to an open-world instead of the linear gameplay of previous The Witcher games added depth and replayability to the game, and let you tackle quests and explore Temeria at your own leisure.

The Witcher 3 also featured some tough decision making and a quest involving a corrupt baron and his family is one of the best yet seen in an RPG. A more mature and adult dark fantasy world set it apart from its peers, plus the game’s Blood and Wine expansion involving vampires is as classy as the main game, making The Witcher 3 one of the top role-playing games seen to date no doubt.
