6. Cyberpunk 2077

CD Projekt’s magnum opus may have gotten off to a rough start, but Cyberpunk 2077 has since evolved to become one of the top RPGs ever. Set in the futuristic Night City, the game casts you as V, a mercenary looking for fame and fortune. There’s also a character named Johnny Silverhand played by Keanu Reeves, who lives in a chip inside V’s head – such are the intricacies of the game’s Cyberpunk world.

There’s a story to enjoy here, but there’s a ton of content peripheral to the main quest for players to savor, featuring factions like the Tyger Claws, which is into cybertechnology and human body modification, two major themes in Cyberpunk 2077’s plot. Starting as either a corporate guy, street kid or nomad, you’ll get a chance to become a legend in Night City, as this is surely one of the top open-world RPGs to date.
