The Resident Evil movie series is one of the highest grossing movie series in Hollywood. Resident Evil: Afterlife, made a whopping $300 million worldwide in 2010, which is impressive when you consider it’s a movie based on a zombie video game.

Part of the movie’s success is no doubt due to Milla Jovovich. The former model has her legion of male fans, eager to see her blast zombies to bits in each instalment. She is definitely amongst the sexiest women to have appeared in a video game movie.

And no matter how popular Capcom’s Resident Evil games are, it seems this multimillion dollar movie series has managed to transcend the games and find an audience among non-gamers, which is certainly no mean feat.
